Safer space
Our Safer Space Team is a care-focused support system that helps people feel safer by listening, responding to harm, and fostering a respectful community environment. They are a visible, approachable group of trained or prepared community members who:
- Support participants if they feel unsafe, uncomfortable, or harmed
- Listen without judgment and take concerns seriously
- Help navigate conflicts or boundary violations
- Contribute to a culture of respect, consent, and care
- Work together with organisers to take appropriate action when needed
They don't guarantee a perfectly "safe" space — but they actively work to make the space safer for everyone.
